北瑞典馬

北瑞典馬(瑞典語:Nordsvensk brukshäst)是一種小型重型马品種,起源于瑞典。這種馬的肩高約145公分至160公分之間。传统上用于林业和农业工作。

哈克尼马

安达卢西亚马

摩根马

普氏野马

普氏野马(学名:Equus ferus przewalskii)是马的亚种,原产于蒙古国西部科布多盆地和中国新疆准噶尔盆地东部一带(因此也被称作蒙古野马或准噶尔野马),是世界上仅存的野马(某些不至混淆的情况下也被直接称作亚洲野马或野马)。蒙古野马于1879年由俄国探险家普尔热瓦尔斯基(俄語:Никола́й Миха́йлович Пржева́льский)首次发现,其后其野外数量不断下减,至1969年人类最后一次发现其野生个体,前后仅经历90年的时间,其保护状态也由濒危变为野外灭绝。 此后,世界各国加强了对该野马的保护措施,对部分人工饲养保留下来的马匹加以重点保护,使该物种得以延续,至20世纪90年代,一些针对该物种野外放养计划正式启动,并很快成功实现了野外繁殖。2005年,蒙古野马在世界自然保护联盟濒危物种红色名录中的保护状态已经正式被提议为由野外灭绝更改回为极危。2008年,IUCN红色名录将蒙古野马的保护级别调整为极危,2011年进一步改善为濒危。蒙古野馬是野外灭绝动物在动物园及保护区中繁殖最典型成功的例子,其保护状态的成功变更成为动物保护史上具有重要意义的里程碑。

标准马

标准马是美国的一个马种,以其马车赛能力而闻名。在这种比赛中,该品种的马采用小跑或顺边跑的方式来比赛。标准马是在北美开发的,并在世界范围内得到了认可,其血统可以追溯到18世纪的英格兰。它们健壮、体型好,性格也好。除了马车赛之外,标准马还被用于各种马术活动,包括马展和休闲骑马,特别是在美国中西部和东部以及南安大略。

沙色

沙色是馬的其中一種毛色,相對於其他主要毛色棗色,黑色,栗色和灰色,其擁有該毛色馬匹的比例較少。

河曲馬

河曲馬,原名「吐谷渾馬」,牠們是和內蒙古三河馬以及新疆伊犁馬齊名的中國三大馬種,河曲馬生長於中國青海、甘肅和四川交界的青藏高原,由於位處又是黃河上游第一河曲處,故於1954年改名為「河曲馬」。

班克尔马

班克尔马由野生马驯化而来,体型小,性情温顺、耐寒,其主要活动带在美国北卡罗来纳州的外海岛屿海滩。这种马源于西班牙的野生驯养马,可能在16世纪被人们带到美洲大陆。在当时西班牙人卢卡斯或理查德带领的一次远洋探险中,由于装有马匹的船队发生海难,马被遗弃在海岛及周边海滩而成了野生马,这也是班克尔马的初始马种。马群被出事的船队遗弃后,当地居民在欧克拉克可岛、萨可勒福特与卡里塔克海岸以及雷切尔卡森河口的动物栖息地发现了它们。

白斑色

白斑色是馬的其中一種毛色,相對於其他主要毛色棗色,黑色,栗色和灰色,其擁有該毛色馬匹的比例較少。

科罗拉多游侠

科罗拉多游侠(英語:Colorado Ranger)是美国科罗拉多高地平原的一种马种。这一马种是1800年代末从土耳其进口到弗吉尼亚州两匹种马的后代。然后这两匹种马,帕奇斯1号(Patches #1)和麦克斯2号(Max #2)繁殖了內布拉斯加州和科羅拉多州牧场的马。科罗拉多游侠得到了牧场主迈克·鲁比(Mike Ruby)的倡导,他于1935年创立了科罗拉多游侠马协会。

純種馬

純種馬(英文:Thoroughbred)是一種為了賽馬而刻意培育出來的馬的品種。雖然廣義的“純種馬”也可以指任何同一品種交配所生的馬,但在育馬和賽馬中所稱的“純種馬”一般只指這一種在英國人工培育的馬種。 純種馬的血統誕生於17世紀至18世紀的英國,由英國當地的牝馬與阿拉伯種的種馬配種而成。四百年間經過不斷的配種人為的淘汰,使得純種馬成為最適合用於競速的品種,一匹健康的純種馬可以在背負50公斤的情況下以60~70km/h的速度奔跑數分鐘。 目前全世界每年約生產11萬頭的純種馬,主要用於賽馬以及馬術競技,世界上純種馬的主要生產國有英國、愛爾蘭、法國、美國、加拿大、澳洲、紐西蘭以及日本。 列克星敦 (肯塔基州)(英文:Lexington, Kentucky)的綽號是 "世界马首都" (英文:"Horse Captial of the World").

美国奶油马

美洲野馬

美洲野馬(Mustang)是家馬的一種。美洲野馬原本是西班牙人帶來的,後來逃離人類馴服並歸回原野。 最晚到大約兩萬年前,馬在北美洲徹底滅絕,南美的馬滅絕得更早。原因現在仍是謎。有人認為跟美洲印第安人過度捕獵有關。從此,在近五千六百多年的時間裡作為馬的老巢的北美洲第一次沒有了馬的存在,一直到公元十六世紀西班牙人再一次把馬帶回了美洲。

芬兰马

芬兰马(芬蘭語:Suomenhevonen,字面意思为“芬兰马”,昵称为:Suokki;瑞典語:Finskt kallblod,字面意思为:“芬兰冷血”)是一个兼具用作骑乘的马匹和用作干农活的马匹的影响和特性的经人工选择的马匹品种,也是一个完全在芬兰培养出来的品种。该品种在英语中名为“Finnhorse”或者“Finnish Horse”,有时也称为“Finnish Universal”,意为“芬兰通用马”,这是因为芬兰人认为此品种适用于在芬兰所有对马匹的需求,包括干农活和森林里的工作、赛马车、骑乘等。在2007年此品种被宣布为正式的芬兰国马。 芬兰马宣称是世界上最快和用途最多样性的“冷血”马匹品种之一。在芬兰,“通用马匹”用于称呼芬兰马和其它如挪威峡湾马等品种,这些品种体型相对较小、作为骑乘的马匹来说相对笨重、作为干活的马匹来说相对轻便。在芬兰马的品种登记簿中有四种分别的类型,每个类型有不同的目标:培养为更健壮的干活用的马匹、更轻便的赛马车用的马匹、通用的骑乘马匹、和一个比例上小的矮马品种。四个类型都有的特征是健壮、适用多样用途、性格温驯。这个马品种的平均高度为155厘米,最常见的颜色为栗色,常有白色斑点及亚麻色的鬃毛和尾巴。 早期芬兰马的精确来源现在不得而知。因为芬兰马这个品种及其祖先很多世纪以来就是在芬兰唯一的品种,因此在芬兰马匹的历史是和芬兰马的历史是重叠的。有据可查的明确的品种培养始于13世纪初。从很多轻便和温血品种过来的外部影响在16世纪初就有记录,从而把这个品种培养成体型更大和使用性更高。在1907年开始建立了芬兰马的官方品种登记簿,从此多年来培养出来了大量经人工选择且祖先可查的马匹。由于在20世纪下半叶农业工具化和军队骑兵的解除,芬兰马的数量从1950年代高峰期的40万匹跌至1987年时的1万4千多匹。然而由于赛马的欢迎度和作为骑乘马的灵活性,这个品种依然得到保存。

萨福克马

萨福克马,也称萨福克矮马,是一种原产英国的挽马品种 。该品种名称的前半部分来源于东安格利亚的萨福克郡,后半部分源自其强壮的体型。 萨福克马为重型挽马,一般通体呈栗色。 萨福克马品种出现于16世纪早期,至今,其体型和类型特点得到了很好的延续,是英国最为古老和纯正的重型马品种之一。萨福克矮马主要被用于农田中的工作,同时也作为货车和其他交通工具的挽马,并在20世纪初得到普及。 然而,随着农业机械化程度的提高,萨福克矮马的使用意义减小。特别是从20世纪中叶开始,几乎完全消失。 该品种由于其生存繁衍状况被英国稀有品种生存信托和美国牲畜品种保护列为关键物种,种群数量有所提高。在育种领域,萨福克矮马被出口到其他国家,用来改良作为狩猎或障碍赛之用的运动马匹。现在,主要被用作森林作业和商业广告。

设德兰矮种马

设德兰矮种马,或称设德兰小马,是矮种马的一个品种,原产自设德兰群岛。设德兰矮脚马体型由最矮的大致71公分(7掌宽)到官方认证最高的107公分不等。认定的矮种马肩高(马肩隆到地面的高度)不得超过107公分或10.2掌宽。设德兰矮种马皮毛厚重、腿部短小而且普遍被认为智力较高。它们是一种十分强壮的矮种马,多被用作骑乘、拖车、载货等用途。

金黃色

金黃色是馬的其中一種毛色,主要由原毛色演化而成。

阿帕卢萨马

類烏齊馬

類烏齊馬是家马的一个地方品种,原本只在西藏當地的洞穴壁畫中發現,但在1993年由法國探險家米歇爾·佩塞爾(Michel Peissel)於西藏東北部的類烏齊縣發現,生態習性仍是個謎。類烏齊馬外表是暗褐色,體型略矮。它在1995年引起了國際關注,當時它的原始外觀和小尺寸引起了人們的猜測,認為它可能是史前野馬與現代家馬之間的進化聯繫。然而,後來的分析表明它與現代馬在基因上沒有區別。

驴骡

驴骡(学名:E.

骡子(学名:Equus ferus × asinus)是马和驴的杂交种。严格地说,在中文裡母马和公驴的後代称为马骡(“驘,驢父馬母者也”《說文解字注》。“骡”是“驘”/“䯁”的俗字);母驴和公马的後代称为驴骡。因母马和公驴的基因更容易结合,故而大部分骡都是馬骡。

鹿皮棕色
