The Appaloosa Sport Horse was a relatively young horse breed, born out of the growing popularity of dressage and show jumping in US equestrian circles. By crossbreeding with warm-blooded horses, the plan was to create a sport horse in European format with the Appaloosa as a basis. Strictly speaking, the Appaloosa Sport Horse was nothing more than a sports horse type Appaloosa.
