The Canada lynx (Lynx canadensis) is a lynx species native to North America. It ranges across Canada and Alaska extending into the United States portion of the Rocky Mountains. It has been listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List since 2002.With a dense silvery-brown coat, ruffed face and tufted ears, the Canada lynx resembles the other species of the mid-sized feline genus Lynx. It is slightly larger than a bobcat, with which it shares parts of its range, and over twice the size of the domestic cat.
