Kartäuser cat

Summary

Since the 18th century, the name 'Kartäuser cat' (formerly also Karthäuser cat) was used for gray-blue long-haired cats, which were assigned to the historical long-haired Angora cats. Johann Matthäus Bechstein called this blue long-haired cat Felis catus, var. domesticus coeruleus and assumed in 1832 that it originated from Turkey.
